1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I
December 15, 2015
Introduced in 1925, the Phantom I was Rolls-Royce’s second 40/50 hp model. To differentiate between the 40/50 hp models, Rolls-Royce named the new model “New Phantom” and renamed the old model “Silver Ghost.”
This stunning right hand drive example was one of the first Phantom 1s built by Rolls-Royce and was sold in 1925 to The Right Hon. Lady Hudson of London, for delivery in March 1926. Most notably this car was previously owned by LORD DAVID SAINSBURY.
The body was made and fitted by a Coach Builder selected by the owner. This Phantom I Open Tourer LWB was created by Pullman De Ville by Barker. The cost to recreate this would be stunning in today’s market as a one off body fabricator.
If you are an enthusiast who is looking for a Phantom I convertible and a little royalty, this could be just the car you are looking for your lordship!
