1930 Chevrolet Custom Street Rod
Smith’s Auction Company, October 2-3
This professionally built 1930 Chevrolet steel body street rod 2-door sedan looks pretty cool in the pictures. For sure you are not going to see another any time soon in this condition.
The quality of the paint and body finish is not clear in the pictures and this sedan without fenders and hood sides looks like it’s not complete for some reason. It does have a back seat and rear roll down windows.
It is powered by an SBC V8 with approximately 275 horsepower under the half hood. It also has a three-speed turbo 350 automatic transmission and ford 8-inch rear end. A great combination for the highway with low RPM’s and good gas mileage.
It also seems like there has been some suspension modifications like the Mustang 2 upper and lower control arms and front disc brakes. For sure it has a rack and pinion for the steering gear and I would not be surprised if it has coil overs which are popular for this style of car. I would also think that the frame has been boxed to give it a more stable ride.
Someone has spent some money on this car, and the cost to build and the selling price will have different meanings in the end.
