1948 Dodge Panel Truck
Hollywood Movie Car Auction – Northridge, CA
July 23, 2016
This beautiful fully restored extremely rare panel van delivery truck for Craftsman Tools has had a high quality restoration. Former SEMA Show vehicle – also used for Craftsman Trade Show and other publicity events. It probably is not fully loaded with tools. Appears to be more like stock and if it came with a lug wrench you would be lucky!
When it comes to these large trucks you can be assured it cost plenty to restore them. Most of the time there is limited interior panels so both sides of the body need to be finished to near perfect condition. It is a task for the one who really loves paint and body. The cost of just the body work and paint on the cheap for something like this could be well over $20,000.
No details on the mechanical portion of the truck other than it is a manual transmission on the column. It is probably safe to say it’s probably stock and hard to stop!
If you are a collector of vintage hand tools and need a place to keep them, this may be the perfect ride.
