1949 Studebaker Pickup
VanDerBrink Auction – Washington, GA
October 22, 2016
It is not very often that we see one of these up at auction. The 1949 Studebaker Pickup truck is restored and is a beautiful seafoam green color. However, there are some slight bubbles in the paint in places. The white wall tires go well with this color.
The overall body panels look very good on this hard to find short box bed. The lines and curves of the design are very clean. Most of the time this style truck has had body panel modifications and performance products installed. To find a stock truck like this is rare.
There are 08615 miles on the odometer which appear to be original miles. Most trucks would have much more than this as they were the work horse for many industries in its time. It is equipped with the original straight 6-cylinder motor and manual 3-speed transmission on the column.
The interior is 2-tone green with a cloth and vinyl bench seat, which is factory. It has a black rubber floor mat which was stock for almost all trucks in this era. There is an AM radio which may be a factory original as well.
It appears to be a beautiful truck and with some detailing it would be a good addition to any collection.
