1963 Ford Falcon Club Wagon Econoline Van
This one looks pretty clean! Nice paint and interior. The engine compartment looks detailed. Most likely this was finished by the owner doing most of the work himself over several years. He has still had some huge expenses and certainly hundreds of love hours. Even as simple as the interior is, there is at the very least several thousand dollars that went into it. The two-tone paint and some body work would cost a couple thousand dollars in materials. By the time you do some mechanical work you could easily be in this ten thousand dollars, just for materials.
Then you have labor hours! Doing the quick math to take the van apart, clean, detail and reassemble, one would have at least 100 hours, paint and body another 100 hours and some mechanical work another 100 hours. I believe these numbers are very light. I could see at least 500 hours on the conservative side to restore this classic van. Now, add what your time is worth and you could easily be in this $20-30 thousand.
