Southern Classic Auctions‘ Muscle Car Mayhem, June 27
Not a very good description of the car
, so we will just have to make our own assessment based on what we see. It appears that the car
was just recently restored with low miles since restoration. The car
was an originally a 383 car
and now has the very popular 440 with six pack and a 4-speed transmission which was rebuilt or replaced during the restoration process. This is a nice combination for this car
to have some real fun if you like smoking the tires off the line. Surely it has power brakes and maybe disc? Some other upgrades under the hood is a fuel filter system. The engine bay looks detailed in the same Plum Crazy as the outside of the car
which looks good including the underside of the hood.
The body looks solid and the body lines look good. The front grill area sports the hiding light assemblies which was the last year of this type of covering due to government regulations and safety. The vinyl top is not very popular amongst hot rodders, however it looks very nice with this color combination. The large trunk strip is very distinctive which works well with the Plum Crazy paint scheme.
More than likely it has black interior with some woodgrain accents. It even may have bucket seats, console, and front and rear carpet. Overall the car looks clean for being what might be a clone. No mention if it is a real R/T or not. Certainly not numbers matching.
This is a nice car and it is not the ever so popular “General Lee” that is overpriced and over sold.
