1970 Ford Thunderbird Custom
Leake Auction Company
April 16, 2016
This 1970 Thunderbird was the last of the four passenger “Square Birds” with its stylish sculptured fender and body lines. With the custom hood and outside door handles installed it appears to be just enough custom for the color of this car. The paint and body look pretty tight and clean!
This customized version has less than 200 miles on the famous and powerful Y-Code 352 CI special Interceptor V-8 4BBl and automatic transmission. One of the more talked about engines when it comes to the Fords of the 50s.
The car is equipped with vintage air conditioning with heat, power steering, power front disc brake upgrades, power windows, bucket seats and a custom 1966 T-Bird rear seat. What is really impressive is its custom Dakota Digital instrumentation. Looks really great with the styling, and also looks expensive!
The cost of this build certainly looks high! Just the rear taillights, also from a 1966 T-Bird, looks like a great deal of work, time, effort and expense! A one of a kind custom creation.
