Part 3 of 3 – Racing Your Vintage Car
Classic cars are old, and racing stresses the vehicle’s structures and systems. There is a very good possibility that something may break during the course of the race. Bring extra parts with you, especially if you know that your car has a weakness in a certain area. You should have a temporary garage set up where you can do minor repairs on the spot. At the same time, keep in mind that a serious repair can end your race day, but you can still enjoy watching everyone else compete.
Races for vintage autos can be a fun way to spend a weekend. Not only do you get to have some fun in your classic car, you also have the chance to see what other people have done with their vehicles. Before you go, check to make sure that you have everything in order so you don’t run into any problems at the event. In the worst case scenario, you should have everything to load and tie down your car just in case it gets damaged to the point it cannot be driven.
