Since 1981, Shannons has been Australia’s leading auction house for veteran, vintage, classic, sports and modified vehicles, as well as classic motorcycles and automotive memorabilia. They produce around 9 classic car auctions per year, and proudly proclaim to have the biggest auctions in Australia.
They have truly re-shaped the classic vehicle market in Australia, setting the reference point for Australian values and becoming the first choice for both private individuals and government departments, including numerical and special number plate sales.
Shannons was founded in the early 1970s by Robert Shannon, who created an insurance business that was run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. This mantra has carried on, and today they offer much more than just insurance – they offer outstanding classic car auctions tailored to car lovers of all ages.
They also have two showrooms (Sydney & Melbourne), which have become destinations for motoring enthusiasts. They are open Monday through Saturday, and see an average of 500 people per week.
Shannons has offices throughout Australia. Their next auction takes place July 21st in Melbourne, Australia. To learn more, click here.
